First Class Without Ticket? AWESOMENESS!

Last weekend was my supertiring one I ever had. Been on duty for 3 days at our booth during the ICT Exhibition was off the ground! I can say, we're factually doing nothing and we're each other killed by boredom. Sometimes we were wandering around just to kill the time to 5pm. But, I'm satisfied, at least before the end of our services to the company, we're contributing some helps.

Well, that's not about it! Due to the tiredness, I almost rejected Daisy's offer to go and watch a jazz performance at Recital Hall of UMS. I think it would be a real miss if I haven't accept the invitation. For sure, earlier,I never imagine that the show would be a bombshell jazz I ever seen. Seriously, in my mind, the performers are the UMS Jazz Band itself. I was wrong! Let me introduce you, the Johnny Rodgers Band!!!

When I was on my sit at second row, I hardly convinced myself that I'm still in Sabah cause that very  moment, I really felt that I'm  watching a first class show in New York. Me and Daisy was whispered at each other that it's like we were listening to a radio. Every renditions was lively sung by the vocalist! He never out of words, and when he's not singing, he entertained us! Well, not to mention, there's nothing wrong with the instrumentalists too. They're too far away from the earth! Perfect and sounds great! OMG, I really uber excited this time.

My very favourite songs of the night definitely the well-known What A Wonderful World and Ain't No Sunshine. They really fancied us with their own arrangements! Every end of the piece, we're never claps not more than 30 seconds! What an honour! One thing, they gave us surprise we won't forget ever! With the short time they had, they managed to blown us by playing the Sabah's famous anthem Sayang Kinabalu in their own way. Regardless the additional musician Roger Wang, Andrew Poninting, and the singer, it's like the song was a hit piece the moment they playing it.

 the awesome peeps on action

Much thanks to Daisy on the precious invitation. Well I gotta promote her here, you guys can visit and follow her blog at this link POLKA DOT. She's got an event for youuu....heeee

Again, after the show, another Saturday wine sips at Fresco aka Luna Rossa with Daisy and relatives. We wrapped up the night by getting some meal at Jesselton Point. Well, the night actually still young, but, nothing can beat the sleepiness in us. And tiredness too...HOMEEEE!!!

Unease

Everything happens lately still unease the feeling of stumbling down inside me. The 'news' really put me in a sorrow. I may sound fragile and not motivational, but I have lots of stuffs to concern when I knew I lost my source of income.

Workhood isn't really get us into a guaranteed living. In fact, most of the tenses that we carry actually come from our workplace + the assignments. I believe so cause I had experiences on this. The good times always when we're at home.

Well, too many things happened recently, lots of events I've attended, and lots of hangouts I made. To kept myself busy and not fall into thinking about my tough situation right now, I need to get out and do something to reach off that mess!

Currently, I'm not so in mood of blogging, but just so you know, when the time healed me, I'll update you some of the fun times I had undergo recently.

Sorry for the terrible writing and grammar error. Still too bad in English and still improving.

Till then...

Good Resume At First

Now, the title is very straight-forward! I beat many of you out there still working on searching the best job to build your career undeniably. Job is the most hardest tool to get whenever we leave the school. Some jobs may not require high qualification, but to those holding more than a form 5 qualification, you do need to aware that the resume alike a door to a big house! Noticeable, job seekers don't really put a high concern when it goes to writing a resume. Yeah, admittedly, luck is kinda what we all seek of, but hey, pay some efforts folks!

Attacked by boredom led me to this. Take some times to have a look and practice these steps on writing a good resume.

How to Write a Good Resume

Instructions

  1. Keep resumes to a maximum of 2 pages long. Employers receive a lot of resumes for one position and won't have the time to go through a 3- or 4-page resume.
  2. List an objective at the beginning of your resume and target it to the job/company that you are applying to. Objectives give the prospective employer an idea of what you are looking for.
  3. Move things around. Have more than one resume layout. For example, if you are short on work experience that would relate to the position you are applying for but have volunteer experience that matches, put that first. It's best to have relevant information first in order to keep the employer's attention.
  4. Don't put "Reference available upon request" at the end of your resume. All employers know that and it doesn't need to be stated.
  5. Consider whether you need to add your interests. In most cases it is unnecessary information that takes up valuable space.
  6. Use bullet points when describing job duties. This is easier to read than big paragraphs.
  7. Always use specifics/numbers if you can. For example, if you were applying for a sales position you might mention what percentage of sales you had in your previous job or the number of customers you typically handled per day.
  8. Add any continuing education courses you have taken. For example, if you've taken 1 hour courses on how to deal with difficult customers, add that to your resume. This shows the prospective employer that you are interested in furthering your knowledge and aren't afraid to learn new things.
  9. Have an "Additional Information" section at the end of your resume and add any special achievements or honors, especially if they relate to the position for which you are applying.

    source : eHow

I had practiced this before, and I made my resume precisely to 1 page only. I won't lie, but this is works! I'm a job seeker too now, so it's better for me to share this to those needed. GOOD LUCK!

I need a job xx

Crossroad Crossroad

Recently, sleep isn't so manageable as always. Couldn't count for how many wakes I had made once I get to sleep. Causes ; too much to think. The major one, the near-end contract of my job! If now is at the past 6 months ago, I can beat that I'm still browsing the net and replying the comments on Facebook without any worry! Let's face the reality, times aren't pausing. Its even rushing!

People says, and on what I've been experienced previously, instinct always right. In this dilemma, my instinct early told that our contract will be extended. Well, how I can so sure cause till this moment, the upper management haven't release the verdict yet. I would be bliss if they can give us the GOOD news in the verge of November and December. (or, just the BAD one) This would such a justice for us, to make us able to find another job so soon. *sigh*

I'm so gotta make a way ahead to go and pray to Him, cause no matter what, prays count. I believe so, in addition of just the efforts itself.

In fact, if it happens that I need to find a new job, I hope it worth to accept the post, and pay a guarantee to my future onwards! AMEN

I Who Overrating Thing/s

Due to boredom last week, entertainment goods such movies, gossips, videos, mp3s were being nice to me, letting my fingers explored every inch of newbie on hot market now. So it happened that I'm supposed to download some videos from Youtube using the Keepvid, but it took forever that I cannot wait. Then, when I'm just about to leave the Keepvid page, I've noticed the unnoticed stuffs before this which are the movie trailers. Surprisingly, when I clicked to that link, voila! Hall of fame of the upcoming movies till the early next year! To my preference, I scrolled down to any movies which will be on cinema on my birthday. Then I thrilled by the film(the poster looks so inviting) entitled Skyline and pushed to watch the trailer. Upon finishing the trailer, I'm like, that's it', that's the one, I should go and dig that movie! Well, releasing the same date with Skyline was the movie "Unstoppable". Poor me, the trailer had been prohibited to watch! Dammit!

On the Friday Nov 12, my bestie and I then went to watch the Skyline. At the very beginning, it's starting well. But when the transition of scene went on and on, the plot getting rubbish, no precise motive, and actions were helpless, I can only mouth the bad words. Obviously, the piece wasn't done well, the questions remain unanswered, the storytelling almost failed! Arghhh why on earth such film was made! In fact, my bestie even fall on nappy at the middle of the movie. LMAO.

As a redemption, after me and my bestie catchup and having dinner with another friend of us, we made an on the spot decision to go and watch "Unstoppable" to ease the 'wound' on the previous watch. There's no word to describe it anyway, it's worth! Homage to the director for giving justice on that based-on-true-event movie!
Trust me, your nerves will feel every emotions shown in the scenes.

And for now, I'm dying to watch the ending piece of the greatest Harry Potter : Harry Potter The Deathly Hollows Part 1. And also this one, The Next Three Days. Can't wait to drop by KK. Will determine which GSC I should go.

So here are the trailers ; CLICK on the images to watch!

Let's lining up now! Grab a tix... Don't forget your popcorn! Happy watching aite!
See ya around~

When The Cash Runs Out

By guessing the title given, you may already got the idea that I am so broke now. Just now, I went to banked in another cash to my landlord for the monthly rent payment. Living alone, I means renting, may be good at some point but could be trouble you in another way. First, I always forgot that I'm renting a room. So, whenever I get my salary, I never thought about the rent payment on top of my must-pay-list every month.

Times passed by, and I'm still zero whenever it comes to saving! You know the feeling when we're holding some cash, the more we got, the more it will be spend. I won't say that I'm a shopaholic but that's the fact. I had few times planning to save at least 500bucks in bank and ended with nothing. I should be back to the old days when no few things to own, and to pay as well.

In that case, I made some approaches to apply as the solution isn't popup that easy if I still figure nothing. So here is the list ;

1. Pretend that we already have nothing left in our account.
2. When you think about goods, take times to analyze whether it's important/ do we really need it? If it is not, then forgot it!
3. Limit your moves or attending any invitations that will cost you. If it does not require you to take out some cash, consider it as the way to socialize more.
4. Distract yourself from any shopping thoughts by reading, surfing the internet, or exercising.
5. Minimize your spends based on what's left in your wallet. Only do withdrawal when it comes to zero or insufficient.

I may miss some of the points but that's the least I can advised based on what I am doing whenever I broke. Remember that saving is essential coz we never know what the future can do to us. For better or worst, the best we can do is ready.

Let's saving peeps!

The Fragiler-Saver,

Settled Sunday

Ok, and my birthday just passed by. Nothing extraordinary has happens. I had a not-so-fun-to-tale weekend. But at least I've got to settle few things I had on my mind the day I left Tambunan for KK.

As per the early entry, I had mentioned that I'll be performing on 13th for an event called Youth Art Festival. The show wasn't as good as what I'm expected. Well, not try to highlighting that I am a great singer, cause I'm not, at all. To make excuses, obviously, I may pick the wrong song, and lack of practice lead me to that so-forgettable-only performance.

Due to money management, I also limiting my hungers to visit few places during my weekend at KK. It's been November, and I'm so gonna have to do some saving and no more wastage on such crappy things. All this while, I totally driven by self-wants instead of self-needs and money flew just like that. Arggghhh!

To cut it short, on my way home this day, I went to settled my car payment, coincidentally Pizza Hut is just aside the bank, so I bought a take-away Hawaian Chicken pizza for my family. Then, I also decided to drop by to some car accessories and part store to find a car rim cap but disappointed. Coincidentally again, the CIMB bank is just near by the shop, so I went to made a transaction to a friend of mine for the shoes I bought from him. I'm dying to see and wear the shoes cause I've been wanting it so long. Yeah!

Oh did I mentioned that I bought a present for myself on my birthday? Hehe. I went to Times Bookstore that day and directly grabbed the Eat.Pray.Love phenomenal sold novel due to some reviews I've read and recommendations given to me. So, tadaaa. I'm gonna start my reading now. Not so now, I guess it should be tomorrow.

Going to further my nap.

Tankless

Boredom! Now it strikes me at top place. Couldn't think out of the box. I wish I can back to my childhood which I used to so creative yet uncontrolled! No numerous things to matter.

In my mind now, I need to settle some business at school before the holidays takeover. Obviously, I won't be around school during the period and all my works need to carry home.

I found and had read this review about Norah Jones new album that already at the music store. Thinking of go get a copy to play while driving! Tadaa!!!

The article for Norah Jones Featuring

Shout Awards 2010

Recaps on 2009 Shout Awards, not really meeting my expectation. For the first time, Jac beats Dato' Siti in Power Vocal Category. Awesome! And our Sabahan's pop princess, Stacy made her triumph grasping the Popstar Award. I was there that time, witnessing the first ever indie award and one thing obvious, it's gathering up more youths audiences than adults. Well, nothing wrong with that. One thing distinct this award to the early founded award in Malaysia, the concept was more stage-friendly and not that you trap on your sit and just watch till the end of the program and that's it!

Regardless to the conventional and spectacular for some of the local artistes performances, Sean Kingston wrapped up the night with an unforgettable most-screamed performance of his two hits not excluding Fire Burning. Thumbs up to 8tv for succeed on bringing in at least a well-known top international artist. I'm wondering which international star would hit the stage this year and I'm expecting chicks at least. *giggle*

So guys, here the link to vote for this year's nominees ;

I may won't complaint on those categories which I found odd, but I'm disappointed and wondering why there's not even a Sabahan chick in the Hot Chick Category??...erk!

Well, I made my votes! They whose melted my heart were Bunkface, FT, Daphne Iking, Zee Avi, Mizz Nina, Henry Golding, Nur Fazura(my only hope in Hot Chick Category), Blogger Boy, Yuna and Jaclyn Victor.

Guys, what your waiting for? Click it NOW!!!!

The hardcore fan of Nur Fazura,

Sunday's Rambles

Well, at this very moment, I wish I was sitting at Jesselton Point or watching movie at GSC, Suria Mall, or examine the new band at Firefly or anything that compatible for the weekend's night. But obviously, I can only visualize all that thing on my own since the fact that I am trapped in my room, here in hometown. Blame it to the moolah! My pay isn't in yet, so I have to super-minimize the usage of money while waiting for the next batch of my salary.

Regardless the surrounding noises that I still need to get used, I found few trusted articles on facial skin care. Not surprising, I made the ease searching tool and directly browsing in eHow. Facials can make you look and feel like a million bucks. Let's face it, though. Not everyone has the luxury of going out to a spa for a fabulous spa facial. Me too, for sure. All this while, I would like to visit Guardian drugstore and purchase thing that I think the best I can get. But I never really examine the right and proper steps on how to get a great facial skin. I'm trying to not sound feminine here cause it is not. People aren't skeptical nowadays. Facial is not directed to women only, but man do care on their looks too, esp skin. This I would called grooming and it's suit!

I've been trying several products since then not to exclude L'Oreal,  Oxy, Garnier, Himalaya and currently I'm using most on Neutrogena products as recommended by one of a health and beauty guru in Youtube. Still, maybe it just need time, I hasn't meet a miracle yet. It's just the same and nothing changing on my facial skin. But one thing I have to admit, it's feeling good using their product. So, I decided to stick on this product for another more period. I hope I made it right this time.

So guys, simple as this, identify your skin type, buy the right cleanser, tryout non-alcohol toner follow by patting moisturizer on your face. That would be a good starter and you may google any info that you keen to know. Let's groom bros! *giggle*

Or not to mention, drink plenty water!

Youths Wisdom and War

Last two weeks ago, a bestie called me and she needed a favor. I gotta say, this kinda a wake up call for me since last time I did production/event stuffs was in last year, I guess. I really2 thankful and super duper excited coz at last, I could do this again! And the additional good news was, it's a request from my very best friend, Daisy(we met since our 1st year in uni and still close till now).

This event was organised by The Alamesra Youth-PREP Centre, a non-profit organization and focusing on youth. It's their first-ever Youth Art Festival 2010 which is themed ‘Voice Out!’ is a charity event to raise funds for the Youth-PREP Centre Alamesra. Apart from raising funds, this event is also aimed at raising awareness towards the burgeoning social problems that are seriously affecting youths these days such as youth migration, abortions, drug abuse, gangsterism, school drop-outs, and many more.

See, the message is so clear there. It's a very2 good event to create and implement awareness among the youths nowadays. I'm a youth too, and I honestly kinda disappointed with many youths this era, which obviously getting wild, mean and rude. There's so many examples to list on, abortion, robbing, killing, raping, can't list anymore! It's huge and totally out of mind.

Then, I was assigned to gather performers for the stage during that event. Thanks God, there's a few willing to do it since it was a voluntarily performance. In fact, I'll be contributing one song on that day as Daisy insisted me to do so. I'm nervous now!!! So, YOUTHS, let's support this event, come and join us, together us celebrating the art of being youth, coz we're dynamic, priceless, unexpectable, and we're the future!

Apart from the exhibition itself, you will be entertain by several famous figures including Velvet AF4, The Ariez, Joanna Quintin & Bitter Serenade, Asif Pichori & Rene Barrow, JADE Sisters, Alvin MY and Frontman Co.

So, pin this on your notice board :

YOUTH ART FESTIVAL 2010

Let's start to VOICE OUT, youths!

Fingers crossed!

Bad Morning

Last night, I went to bed at almost 1am. I'm reading before that and didn't realized it's getting late. For sure, I'll be late if I stay a little bit longer. Wake up is the hardest thing for me especially when it goes to a beautiful sleep.
So the story went like this. I forgot that I'm charging my mobile and had turned it off. My biological alarm gave me more time to sleep and only awaken me at 7.45 which inevitably already, LATE!!! Argghhh...
I did my usual pickups on the toiletries, my spectacle, and my towel and went out. I locked the door, and by the time I closed it, then there comes a struck in my head! Damnnn! I forgot to grab my room key and the only thing I can do was cursing and cursing again. Knowing that it won't helps, I took a deep breath and went to knock the next room renter. Thanks God, she's still there. I asked her to call my landlord and tell about it.
To cut the story, I'm lucky to wait only few hours when I got the spare key only at 11.45am. My conditions? Starving, sleepy, guilty(I can't even inform anyone at school about my absence today coz the phone was inside), and finally, more relieved! Actually, I've done this once long time ago. So, I made a little decision that I have to do something in case this carelessness happens again in the future. I put that spare key into a more accessible place.
What a bad day for a careless human.

Gotta hit the bed now. Talk to you soon...

November Boy

To be frank, I'm not that super-excited of my becoming birthday anniversary. Hands off, but I think that a birthday party doesn't means anything rather than it's just a one-day celebration. A birthday is more a reminder for us that we're getting older, the numbers getting big, and what we had been achieving since then? Every day we pray, every year we wish, which I'm sure for better things to knock on us.

So, here are my birthday wishlist for this year ;
1. A party in Firefly or Whiteroom ;

2. Blackberry Bold 9700 ;

3. A Starbucks mug ;

4. Apple Mac Pro ;

5. MAS flight tix(I choose the destination) ;
6. Sponsored tooth-whitening in recognized dental ;
7. Tissot watch ;
etc.....

Yeah, a man with no shame asking for this, and it's totally crap! LMAO. I'm just being imaginary here. This is just being so material-based!

But my real wish would sound like this ; dear God, please reserve me the best job ever with good pay, so that I can realize my plan to obtain my Master and PHD. And to my safety, give me an excellent health, very protective company, and very loving family(if only I can write a note to Him).

So, if any of you guys out there happen to go thru this wishlist, by all means, I'm waiting for your surprises. LMAO!!!

I turns 24 this November 12, and at least I expecting a Secret Recipe cake. LOL

xx from the November Boy aka

Fresh & Vibrant

There you have it! As promised, I made some re-construction to my blog. This is totally not an extravagance look, but at least it looks good. Personally, this is what I want for my blog. Simple and attractive. At first, I was thinking to delete all the older entries cause it's dork! But, I decided to kept them so I can flip them in few years later. So, I'm back with simple vision here. Blogging more, attract more, improve more, and sharing more. Stay tune peeps...
